Position Overview: Seeking a technically strong support individual for our Boston market that enjoys (and shows passion) in resolving broadband/Internet technical issues for our residential customers. The technology we play in: Wi-Fi, network routers/switches, mobile and desktop devices, and large wireless systems.
This position responsibilities include:
- Communicating with customers via telephone and email to gather information on specific technical problems.
- Timely identification, investigation, resolution, root cause analysis and replication of technical issues.
- Directly resolve problems with system configuration changes or recommended follow-up actions
- You will provide email and telephone support to customers when in your home office.
- You will also dispatch to residential customers to resolve issues in their apartments (greater Boston area)
- Experience/Technical Degree – Proven experience with a degree in Information Systems, Computers, Telecommunications or technical institute (low voltage)
- Experienced with setting up and configuring access points, routers and running/terminating/testing data cables.
- Enjoys speaking/working with customers, good verbal and written (e-mail) communication skills.
- This position requires good technical problem-solving skills. Areas including networking, Wi-Fi, POE, date cabling and computer systems.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting networking equipment – switches, access point, router, etc.
- Hybrid work opportunity. Work from home/remote when on shift for telephone/email support and in field when resolving problems in customer's apartments.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record.
- Personal vehicle required for travel needed for field work (will be reimbursed )
